The concurrent education program is a joint program between the Faculty of Education and other Faculties on campus. It provides students with the opportunity to attain two degrees in five years along with teacher certification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT). Those interested in teaching in secondary schools can choose from one of 10 different concurrent programs across the sciences and the arts, social science, and humanities. Those interested in elementary education can select from one of two concurrent programs including a program in modern languages with second language education or a program that provides Early Childhood Education certification (in addition to the two degrees and OCT certification).
