Economics is a fascinating area where ideas appear in different manners and in many subjects and professions. Economists can be found in many different and challenging careers. Many are employed by governments or international organizations to develop policy strategies to deal with economic issues. Others work in the private sector, particularly in the financial sector monitoring and forecasting economic activity as well as advising senior management on key decisions. Other economists work for labour unions, professional associations, and consulting firms. Professional economists usually have completed graduate work beyond the B.A. degree, but these careers all begin with undergraduate training in Economics.
