Description
Whether it is tagging sharks in the Arctic, modeling the impact of climate change on the great lakes, deploying autonomous gliders in Lake Erie, assessing the impact of microplastics, or working with local farmers improve soil conservation and improve water quality, you have the potential to make important discoveries as an undergraduate student in our School of the Environment. Our comprehensive programs in Environmental Science and Environmental Studies will provide you with hands-on opportunities in the field and in the lab, through Internships, Service Learning, Study Abroad and Undergraduate Research. You will also be able access unique courses and programs that provide industry-relevant knowledge and skills including our Geographic Information Science (GIS) and Environmental Assessment (EA) certificates, an ability to work in world-class analytical and computational facilities at the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research and participate in numerous field trips and field schools.
