While we are happy to know that you are eager to get connected with campus this summer, the Head Start orientation program is designed for new incoming undergraduate students who reside within Ontario.
Knowing that our international student population typically has very different questions about their first year on campus, around health insurance, transitioning to a new country, etc., our International Student Centre (ISC) has created special orientation programming just for our incoming international students: https://www.uwindsor.ca/international-student-centre/39/iso.
If you will be in Ontario already and wish to attend Head Start, please click the Continue button below to proceed with registration.
Considering when the right time is for you to travel to Canada?
While there is no official rule for when you can arrive in Canada before the start of your semester, coming too early might not be a good idea. It is suggested not to arrive more than 3 weeks prior to the start of your classes. If you arrive too early before the start of your first semester, you might be in a situation where your Health Insurance has not started yet. Additionally, if you are a new student starting your very first semester, you cannot work until your classes begin.
